Ensures system integration, functional, nonfunctional, user acceptance, regression and security testing are performed according to the needs of the project and within our policies and procedures.
Interprets the test needs as requirements are being developed and work with Business Partner to ensure the standard of testing supports the business needs.
Ensures a comprehensive Test Plan is created that supports the business and technological solution being delivered.
Validates that the Requirements Traceability Matrix is adhered to in order to ensure a quality delivery.
Audits test cases, test scenarios, scripts, execution results, and defects in support of business functional requirements and in a reusable state for regression usage.
Audits execution of each script to ensure results are accurate prior to the delivery of software in a production environment.
Validates that proper test data is utilized to ensure it complies with specifications and present sound recommendations through thorough analysis.
Works with the defect coordinators of the applicable area to resolve defects identified during the testing period.
Develop strategies and roadmaps for automation creations, execution, maintenance, as well as nonfunctional performance baselines and regression execution.
Assists in the capturing and documentation of metrics in support of software testing, as well as vendor management.
Participates in the formulation of project timelines by evaluating requirement level of efforts, along with timelines of other efforts.
Ensures that rough order of magnitudes and level of effort estimates are compared against actual efforts to ensure acceptable variances are achieved.
Conduct monthly customer satisfaction meetings with supported business groups and bi-monthly collaborative sessions with supported development or infrastructure team.
Educates and develops subject matter expertise on assigned applications which is then shared by way of trainings, user guides, and testing artifacts to IT and Business users.
Acts as the first point of contact for QA Analysts dealing with day to day business issues and support for problem resolution.
Develops, modifies, applies, and maintains standards for software quality operating methods, processes, systems and procedures which continuously progress maturity for the organization.
Reviews software change design documentation and develops an appropriate testing strategy based on International Software Qualifications Board (ISTQB) testing approach standards.
Regularly monitors production defects for critical and high severity level issues to perform root cause analysis against the testing performed with action plans for future improvement and mitigation strategies.
Interprets a variety of complex technical instructions, and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Information Systems, Information Technology or related. 5 years of experience in IT Quality Assurance/Testing or related. Required experience must include: 60 months experience in testing web applications developed for healthcare (EMR, HER, Care Management); 48 months experience in testing and implementation support of healthcare EDI and ETL interfaces using Informatica; 36 months experience in testing web applications developed in Zope/Python; and 24 months experience in Agile testing methodology, as well as working with QA offshore teams. Also requires demonstrated ability to create and use complex SQL scripts using SQL Server Query, as well as documented experience using QA testing tools (Quality Center, QTP and Load Runner). **Employer will accept related work experience pre or post degree.
