Thisposition is responsible for managing the daily operations of the Program Managementgroup and for monitoring and reporting on its productivity,efficiency and profitability. Along withthe Director of Program Management, this position will also work to enhance existing operational procedures.
The followingresponsibilities are typical of this position, but are not allencompassing. Responsibilities: Best Practices - Improve processes and policies in support of departmental and organization goals. Analyze department and project workflow, lessons learned and best practices and then implement and monitor improvement. Financial Monitor and report on yearly/ monthly revenue forecasting, actuals to forecast and project profitability. Management of client and contractor invoicing with Accounting department. In conjunction with Director of Program Management, review financial data to improve profitability. Prepare and monitor operational budgets. Plan effective strategies for the financial benefit of thegroup. Coordination and Supervision Coordinate and monitor the staffing of the Program Management group in coordination with project deliverables and other departments within SGS. Facilitate coordination and communication between Program Management department and support staff. Assist Director in establishing company and project organizational structures. Assist team in managing project tasks and accountabilities. Human Resources Support the director in the evaluation of staffing needs, skill sets, open positions, and the hiring process. Monitor staff time off requests to ensure a balance of client project needs and employee needs. Facilitate communication between Director and team in coaching and mentoring. Assist in the goal making and review process for the team. Sales and Marketing - Plan and support sales and marketing activities by managing project proposals and opportunities in Salesforce. Review of all proposals prior to client issuance to confirm conformance with SGS Legal and Accounting guidelines. Qualifications
: Knowledge of financial and accounting principles and practices Knowledge of project management principles and practices 5 years operations experience with industrial engineering projects 2 years bookkeeping and financial reporting experience Advanced written and verbal communication skills Working knowledge of Oracle Order Management/ Order Board Working knowledge of budgets, forecasting and metrics Knowledgeable Data Processing/ Basic IT skills (databases, MS Office etc) Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of theorganization Critical thinking and problem solving skills Planning, organizing, reporting skills
